Street Kids Sweep 50/50 in Elkhart

Elkhart, IN-

The Street Kids Mojo team bounced back from a rough weekend with a sweep of 50/50-Rover Plus Nine at Riverview Park, winning 30-13 and 25-10.

Tim Austin and Jay Jeffery each had eight hits to help guide the SKS team to a .764 team average on the night. They return to league action on Thursday in Topeka before heading to Three Oaks, Michigan on Friday where they begin the quest for a three-peat of the Flag Day Championship.

End of an Era: SKS Says Goodbye

Story

10-16-16: After 17 years of competitive play on the weekends, including three state ASA Class B state titles, six runner up finishes in world or national championships and a GSL "B" world title, SKS says goodbye. Street Kids Care will remain active as well as Creary's league team.

The Street Kids Softball team started out 2-0 in Orlando at the USSSA Class B World Series, but then dropped the next two games. Despite a strong appearance in Florida, the team could not muster a full roster for NSA Elite Worlds, and called it a season.
