SKS Go Unbeaten in Battle Creek; Win 9th Tourney

Battle Creek, MI 8/24/2013

Street Kids/Wildman/KoteIt went 6-0, including beating a conference-stacked EFN team in the finals in Battle Creek, Michigan to win the 42nd annual ASA PCG Impact Championship tournament. The Kids (65-13 tourney record) beat EFN on a walk off single by Garrett Cureless in the bottom of the seventh, giving SKS their ninth tourney win of 2013.

Joe Horvath (.913 avg) was named tourney MVP while Terry Patesel, Newell Phebus and Scott Martin were all named to the all-tourney team.

Up next for SKS is the ASA National Championship this weekend in Kansas City, Missouri. SKS opens the tourney at 8:30pm (9:30pm eastern time) on Friday night.
