Put Together SKS Split with RC Recycling
July 18, 2012

Elkhart, IN -

Street Kids Softball had a tough time getting players together for early games in Elkhart on Wednesday, thankfully friends Jason Paulsen and Nate Black helped out, but in the first game of a double header against one of the best Class D teams in the state in RC Recycling, it was not enough.

RC outlasted SKS in game one 15-12 but Street Kids were able to hold off a surging RC team in game two, 20-19. Joe Horvath went 8-for-9 with seven RBI's and Shane Varga and Scott Martin added seven hits each in the two games.

SKS (26-4 in league; 77-17 overall) will play in league on Thursday in Topeka and then head to Bloomington, Indiana on Friday for the ASA Class "B" State Championship, an event they won last year.
