Street Kids Finish 1-2 in GSL Mojo Opener

Columbus, OH 3/22/2014

The Street Kids Softball team made their season debut at the GSL Mojo Open in Columbus on Saturday, and despite being shorthanded, they battled hard for three games, but left the tourney early, finishing 1-2.

The Kids lost the first game to Pure Romance 19-4, but bounced back to beat their former Amish teammates and Cedar Creek 20-4, but then lost a tough game against Cash House, 22-18. The Kids had nine regular players in uniform, and added a two pick ups to help out, but in the end, the team just did not hit when they needed it.

Kevin Lewandowski led the team with a .889 average, with Tim Austin (.800) and newcomer Jamie Simpson (.700) also having good debuts on Saturday.

After a week off, the Kids return to action on April 5th in Michigan.
